#TFKM Ambassador Volunteer Description
Position Title: Social Media Ambassador (Volunteer) 

Position Description:
​Trips for Kids M
arin is providing powerful online programming and we need your help spreading the word.  In the Ambassador program, we’ll give you the scoop on Trips for Kids Marin's programs, projects, and highlights and ask that you share out with your social circles. The main tasks will be to like and share specific posts to help amplify important messages and routinely share a few photos a month.

Position Summary:
This position will work directly with TFKM’s Communications and Development team to help spread the word about our mission, programs, events, and fundraising activities on social media. We are active on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

What We’re Asking Ambassadors to Do:
In addition to reading #TFKMambassador emails and taking the actions outlined in them:
  • Add Trips for Kids Marin on your favorite social media platforms.
  • Share one specific post every two weeks to amplify an important message.
Outcomes:
While we have set goals and stats we want to meet for each social media platform, our goal is for you and us to have fun spreading the word. We are open to feedback to help us achieve our program and fundraising goals. We look forward to partnering with our #TFKMambassadors!
Company Employee Giving Ambassador
Position Title: Company Employee Giving Ambassador

Position Description:
We’re organizing ambassadors through email. We’ll give you the scoop on TFKM’s programs and projects and highlight relevant campaigns that we need support with promotion. The main task will be to share the campaign within your company. For companies that use Benevity or YourCause as an employee portal - we will post the camping there but ask for additional, personal outreach to your colleagues.

Position Summary:
This position will work directly with TFKM’s Communications and Development team to help spread the word about our mission, programs, events, and fundraising activities to your colleagues in your place of work.

Objectives:
TFKM would like to increase our presence within large and small companies in the Bay Area to raise awareness about our mission, to increase the opportunity for employee giving and company matches.​

Outcomes:
Our desire is to raise awareness of our mission and help get more resources to help get more kids on bikes in the Bay Area. As donations or volunteers sign up from your company, we will let you know so you can help foster their connection.
Community Ambassador
Position Title: Community Ambassador

Position Description:
We’re organizing ambassadors across neighborhoods throughout the Bay Area via email. We’ll give you the scoop on TFKM’s programs and projects and highlight relevant hashtags. The main task will be to share our communications to your community list and be a TFKM Community Ambassador.

Position Summary:
This position will work directly with TFKM’s Communications and Development team to help spread the word about our mission, programs, events, and fundraising activities on your local community Listserv (NextDoor, TownSquare, etc.).

Program Objective:

TFKM would like to increase our presence on local community listservs throughout the Bay Area to:
  • Help build awareness about our mission and programs
  • Spread the word about our events and fundraising campaigns 
  • Share our monthly communications - the Bike Messenger and the Chain Link 
What We’re Asking Volunteers to Do:
  • Read the bi-monthly Community Ambassador’s with details on what to share or highlight
  • Announce your new role on your community listserv 
  • Answer or reach out to us to respond to any questions or issues that may arise on the community list
  • Time commitment is about 4 hours a month.

Our desire is to educate more members of the Bay Area community to learn more about our mission. Our goal is for you and us to have fun spreading the word. We are open to feedback to help us achieve our program and fundraising goals. We look forward to partnering with our TFKM Community Ambassadors program.

Assistant Trail Ride Leaders
​Looking for enthusiastic cyclists that love interacting with youth to assist our staff Ride Leaders!

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age, have proficient biking skills, provide your own bike, gear and transport yourself to the designated trailhead.
  • Must have in person meeting with Program Director prior to joining any Trips for Kids Marin youth programs.​
  • LiveScan criminal background check may be requested.
Earn-A-Bike Mentors
Teach kids basic mechanics and life skills at our warehouse in San Rafael’s Canal district.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to commit to one day/week for 8 weeks between 2-6pm.
  • Attend a one-time 1-hour orientation.​​
  • LiveScan criminal background check may be requested.
Re-Cyclery Bike Shop Help
With hundreds of donated bikes and parts rolling in each week, help clean, sort, refurbish and keep these items out of our landfills.

Requirements:
  • Must be available during shop open hours.
  • Bike mechanical skills a plus.
  • ​Attend a one-time 1-hour orientation.
​Event Volunteers
Love to interact with people? Passionate about biking and advocating to get more kids on bikes? Become an ambassador at our booth at community events.

Requirements:
  • Availability on nights and weekends a plus.
  • Attend a one-time 1-hour orientation.
